Corey Coke

Corey was born on July 18th, 1975 and passed away on
April 1st, 2025 at the age of 49Corey Eugene Coke was born July 18, 1975 to Mickey and Alice Coke in Norfolk, NE.
Corey left this world too soon surrounded by his loving wife, daughter and mother April
1, 2025 after a 3 year battle with cancer.
Corey graduated from Norfolk Senior High in Norfolk, NE and attended Wayne State
College in Wayne, NE. He had a long career with Mid City Superstore working in home
and car audio installation. This is where he met the love of his life Jeni. Corey married
Jeni (Rydel) September 8, 2001. Following their wedding they found themselves
relocating to Lake Havasu City, AZ to build their life with their daughter Taylor. Taylor
was the light of his life.
Corey spent 20 years building homes across Lake Havasu City for so many builders as
a construction superintendent for Johnson Manley/Havasu Lumber. Corey had a
personality that everyone loved the minute they met him. Corey was loyal, honest and
held himself to the highest integrity. After 20 years Corey took his talents and
experience to the Development Services Department of the City of Lake Havasu. Here
he was able to put all his years out in the field to work in the office. He loved his job and
was dedicated down to the final days.
Corey was a master of all things, there was never a project or idea too big for him. He
loved to hunt, camp, off-road and working with his hands. Corey and Jeni loved to
travel. They would often find destinations where they could participate in running
events. On their 20 th wedding anniversary Corey took Jeni on a dream vacation to the
Maldives. They had many more planned but unfortunately God had other plans for
Corey.
He is survived by his soulmate, best friend and wife Jeni Coke, daughter Taylor Coke of
Syracuse, UT, father Mickey Coke of Norfolk, NE, mother Alice Mittelsdorf of Lake
Havasu City, sister Lisa (Doug) Ludden of Pierce, NE, brother in law Luke (Spring)
Rydel of Lake Havasu City, Devon (Nicole) Johnk, Derek Johnk, Dru Johnk and Dustin
(Valerie) Johnk as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life to honor Corey will be held Sunday April 6, 2025 from 1-4pm at
Shugrue's Bridgeview Room. His love for life and his family will be remembered by all who knew him.
