Corey Lee Parks age 55, passed away on October 1, 2025.
Corey Lee Parks was born 06, November, 1969 at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma, Michigan. The second son to his parents, Geneva D. Clough Parks and Darrell J. Parks.
He enjoyed nature and being outdoors. He had developed a strong love for animals at an early age, and they played a big part in his life. Corey enjoyed many different things as a part of his life, and had many talents and hobbies. He never worked inside a building a day in his life, nor did his father.
He was a farm hand and loved the daily exchange with the bulls, cows, calves, and heifers. His reason for living was his family and animals. He had many dogs during his life, with his last dogs being his beloved Blue Lacy.
Corey will be greatly missed by his community of family and friends.
Surviving him is his 'Sweet Heart' Laura Johnston of 25 years; mother, Geneva D. Parks-Nedry and his step-dad, Nick C. Nedry; siblings, Deb Parks and Asa Flint of Fort Wayne, Indiana, James (Suzanne) Parks of Marion, Michigan; Second mother, Jean; Extended family, Terry, William, Lewis, Lydia and Pat; Nephews, Samual, Lucas, and Matt; Nieces, Bry, Megan, Katie and Leanna, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Corey is preceded in death by his father, Darrell J. Parks; brother, Stacy L. Parks; grandparents, George and Anna Parks, Richard and Dorothy Clough, and second grandpa, William Littrell, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial of Corey's life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at McBride Hall in McBride, Michigan, from 1PM to 4PM.
In memory of Corey, please wear your favorite hunting shirt, flannel shirt, or joke t-shirt to make someone smile!
In lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the family at the time of service.
