Corey R. Varga

Corey R. Varga, 29, a life-long resident of Olmsted Township, passed from this world on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Southwest General Hospital in Middleburg Heights. He was born February 4, 1995, at that very same hospital to Denise and Don, the youngest of 4 boys. Corey graduated from Olmsted Falls High School. His gift was his creative and ambitious mind, from which flowed poems, movie scripts, and original music, and was an avid film fan. His infectious laugh and personality could light up any room. Many good times were shared with him and his brothers. Corey played youth football at St. Mary's of Berea and Olmsted Falls Middle School and dabbled in pole vaulting. He had a deep affection for his nephews, but especially for his niece as the sister he always wanted but never had. Corey is survived by his mother, Denise Varga (nee Farrell); his father, Donald Varga; three brothers, Aaron Varga, Michael Varga (Liz), and Sean Varga (Kyra); two nephews, Sean David, and Edward; his niece Jennifer; three uncles, Ronald Farrell (Kelly), Kevin Farrell (Phuoc), and Ronald Varga (Pam); and his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Sandra Farrell. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Andrew and Ann Varga; and seven aunts and uncles. The family welcomes friends to join them on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 11am to 1pm, with Mass beginning at 1pm, at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Father Joseph Budds of St. Peregrine Catholic Church will celebrate the Mass. Corey will be laid to rest at New Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Olmsted Falls following the service.
