Corky Stout, 68, of New Sharon passed away Monday evening, September 29, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Monday, October 6, 2025 at Central Church in Oskaloosa. A private burial will follow the luncheon in the Union Mills Cemetery in Union Mills. Open visitation will be Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with the family not present and a family visitation will be held at the Central Church in Oskaloosa from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Sharon EMS or Central Church. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Lile "Corky" Kent Stout, the son of Darrell and Nancy (Gregson) Stout, was born on January 13, 1957 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He graduated from North Mahaska High School with the class of 1975. On June 6, 1975, Corky was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Fran Van Weelden, at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Oskaloosa. To this union three children were born, Justin, Kurt and Kimberlin.

Corky began farming at a young age with his father and following his grandfather's death he worked for Taintor COOP. He also worked for Kelderman Manufacturing in Oskaloosa and then DeJong Supply and Cargill before going back to farming in 2003. Corky also owned and operated Corky's Country Shop for many years restoring tractors, anhydrous tanks, bull dozers, semis, trailers and just about anything else you could imagine. Corky enjoyed staying busy driving truck for his sons, attending all of his grandchildren's church and school activities, listening to Gospel Music, watching Western T.V. shows and he loved his Boston Terrier, Dozer. Corky is an active member of the Central Church in Oskaloosa and enjoyed attending the Warrior Breakfast Men's Group in New Sharon.

His memory will be cherished by his wife, Fran Stout of New Sharon; his children, Justin (Ann) Stout of New Sharon, Kurt (Lindsay) Stout of Pella and Kimberlin (Travis) Jaquay of North Liberty; grandchildren, Peter Jasper Stout, Kenton Darrell Stout, Breanne Nicole Jaquay, Brooklyn Nicole Jaquay, Schaeffer Renae Stout, Holland River Stout and Kuiper Kent Stout; his brother, Greg (Debby) Stout of Westville, Oklahoma; his sister, Carol (Don) Acheson of Morland, Kansas; his step mother, Bonnie Stout; step sister, Cindy (Alan) Stewart; special aunt, Beryl Williams; his brothers-in-law, Larry (Jan) Van Weelden, Robert Van Weelden and Bill (Lois) Van Weelden; sister-in-law, Jana (Keith) Roe and along with many other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.

Corky was preceded in death by his parents; three grandchildren, Henry Ray Stout, Kamden Alan Stout and Kohen Wesley Stout and his in-laws.
