Corlyn M. Nedwick

Corlyn Martha (Orr) Nedwick, loving mother, beloved sister, sister-in-law, and aunt, returned to her heavenly creator on November 13, 2025. She was 78 years old.
Corlyn committed her life to guiding and mentoring young people, first as a teacher and then through youth ministry. For over 30 years, she was a dedicated elementary and middle school teacher in the Middle Country Central School District. After retiring from teaching, she served as a youth minister at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church in Fort Salonga. Through her passion for teaching and mentoring, Corlyn impacted the lives of countless young people.
Corlyn was born on January 17, 1947, in Mineola, New York, to John and Martha (Voss) Orr. She was always a hard worker, becoming the first in her family to earn a college degree and then going on to earn a master's degree in education. Recognizing the importance of an education, she was passionate about tutoring high school students to help them achieve their dream of attending college.
Corlyn is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Zygmund Nedwick. She is survived by her cherished son, Todd, and his partner, Jason; her brother, Donald Orr, and his wife, Mary Ellen (Colgan) Orr; and her brother, John Orr, and his partner, Lynda Letourneau.
