Cornelis (Casey) Muilwyk, age 79, of Ontario, Canada passed away in the early morning hours of December 11, 2023.
Casey was a traveler and a wanderer, born in Ontario Canada, living for several years in British Columbia, and wintering in Florida for the last 40 plus years.
Casey was born on March 29, 1944, in Brant County, in southwestern Ontario, Canada. In 1977 he met the love of his life, Lois McKay (1945-2017) and soon after they were married. Together they owned and operated Agricultural Lime for over 40 years. Casey and Lois were successful in love and in business and after many years of hard work, rewarded themselves by wintering in the deep south of Florida. For a number of years they traveled to the Tampa area. Eventually, they found North Florida to be their desired second home, relaxing into the peaceful environment at McCulley Farms near Jennings. Casey was a born storyteller, and enjoyed nothing more than a coffee and a visit with a steady stream of friends and neighbors, where he could tell stories about his many adventures during 40 years in the trucking business. After his wife's passing, Casey gamely continued to winter at McCulley's each year, but with her death, much of the heart went out of him. Like Lois, his wish was to die and be buried in the warm climate of Florida. Like Lois, his wish was granted. He has been laid to rest beside his beloved wife, and has gone to his reward.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, 2:00 pm, at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery near Jennings, Florida.
