Neal graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport, LA in 1959. After his graduation he worked at a number of jobs; sometimes working two or three jobs at the same time. Some of his employers were Elks Club, M Levy Company, Western Electric Plant, El Dorado Casino, and finally retiring from the Avaya Plant.
Neal was a member of the Baptist faith, but Neal also began studying with Jehovah's Witnesses in 2023 and continued studying until his death on May 15, 2025.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Cornelius Harrison, and Vera (Norma) Harrison; sister Mattie Mae Spiller, and a brother Herman Harrison.
Neal will be remembered and cherished by his three brothers Charner Harrison, Joseph Harrison, and Johnny Harrison. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
