Correen Frazier

Correen Gayle Slack Frazier, lovingly known as "Grandma Fluffy," passed away peacefully at her home on March 28, 2026.

She was born on December 8, 1941, in Cedar City, Utah, to John Calvin Slack and Mae Wright Slack. Correen spent her life devoted to her family, her faith, and her community.

On November 8, 1976, she married Dennis Vallier Frazier. Together, they built a loving home and raised nine children. Correen was a devoted wife, a caring and selfless mother, and a beloved grandmother and friend. She found great joy in caring for her family and cherished the many friendships she formed throughout her life.

A faithful member of her church, Correen dedicated her life to service. She held many callings and later had the privilege of working in the Los Angeles Temple. She and her husband, Dennis, were sealed there on February 4, 1995.

Correen is survived by her children: Christine (Floyd Sargent) of Tucson, Arizona; John Avery Curtis of Las Vegas, Nevada; Gloria (Robert) Miller of Cedar City, Utah; Craig Frazier of Colorado; Matt (Lori Dawn) Frazier of Phoenix, Arizona; and Lori Butters of West Valley, Utah. She is also survived by many grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly, as well as her brothers, Dell Slack and Hal Slack, both of Cedar City, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dennis ("Grandpa Fluffy") Frazier; her son, Dan Lee Curtis; her brothers, Devon, Morris, Frank, and Merlin Slack; her sister, Florence Brooks; and her stepsons, Steve and Brad Frazier.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 North 300 West, Cedar City, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be at the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
