Dr. Cory Wayne Bailey
"We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19
Dr. Cory Wayne Bailey left a mark of love on all who knew him. Born on May 22, 1976, Cory passed from this life on March 2, 2025, to be with his Savior, where he is now fully healed and worshiping at the feet of Jesus.
Cory's life was defined by a deep love for God and all His creation, beginning with his family, friends, and everyone he met. He had a special gift for making others feel loved and valued, and his kindness radiated in every interaction. His favorite days were spent basking in the beauty of nature with his beloved family-whether in the mountains, on the ocean, or watching a sunset, Cory was most at peace in God's creation.
Professionally, Cory discovered God's calling as a dentist. He poured his heart into his work, finding great joy in serving his patients with compassion, care, and humility. His patients were not just clients but part of his extended family, and he was cherished by all who met him through Bailey Dental Group. For Cory, dentistry was more than a career-it was his ministry, an opportunity to share God's love and grace with others.
Cory fought a courageous battle with appendix cancer, a journey that deepened his faith and brought him and those close to him even closer to God. His strength, unwavering faith, and trust in God's plan through it all were an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Though his battle is over, Cory's legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to walk beside him.
Cory is survived by his loving wife, Jessica, and their three children, Lincoln, Hudson, and Georgia. He is also survived by his parents, Gerald Wayne and Sheila Bailey, his grandmother, Anna Lirette, his siblings, Rhonda Bonner (Andrew) and Casey Bailey (Jessica), and his wife's parents, Richard Black (Carol) and Erin Kathleen Sanderson. Cory is also survived by his wife's siblings, Melanie Hague (Bradley), Christina Tyler-St Clair (Adrian), Julianne Price (Richard), Rebecca Webster (Kenneth), Elisa Newell (Scott), Richard Black, and many nieces and nephews.
In this time of grief, we take comfort knowing that Cory is now in the presence of his Savior, fully healed and surrounded by eternal peace. He will be deeply missed, but his love, faith, and dedication to others will never be forgotten.
A celebration of Cory's life will be held March 21, 2025 at 11am at Champion Forest Baptist Church (15555 Steubner Airline Rd,
Houston, TX 77069) in the Family Life Center, with a visitation beginning at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bailey children's future education fund.
