Cory Matthew Lambert

Cory Matthew Lambert, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, coworker, and friend was born September 25, 1981 and departed this life on January 11, 2024 in his home in Brusly, Louisiana at the age of 42.

Cory was a 2000 graduate of St. Amant High School and later received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2014 from Southeastern Louisiana University with honors. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University with the honor of summa cum laude. Cory thoroughly enjoyed his career in Safety with Turner Industries having tenures in production facilities for Formosa Plastics, Westlake Chemical and most recently, INEOS Oxide in Plaquemine, LA.

Cory held interests in self guided learning, in a variety of subjects including mechanics, cars, math, computing, cooking, holistic health and exercising. Cory is survived by his parents, Randy Louis and Paulette Sutton Lambert; his brother, Cole Michael Lambert (Victoria Bruno-James); his grandmothers, Jeanette Arceneaux Lambert and Elva Mae Bercegeay Nealy Parent, and his girlfriend Junelyn Cepria, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Louis P Lambert, Junior Sutton, William “Max” Nealy, and Evert Parent.

A memorial service to celebrate Cory's life will be conducted at St. Theresa of Avila Church in Gonzales, on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Visitation will be from 9am to 10:30am with word service and communion to follow.
