Cory A. Swartz

Cory A. "Turtle" Swartz, 42, of Hanover, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 5, 2024 at his home. He was the beloved son of Lori A. (Swartz) Scott and the stepson of her husband, Dan Scott.
Born on Monday, July 27, 1981, in Baltimore, MD, Cory was a devoted son, brother, and friend. He cherished the moments spent with his family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and love. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for camping and fishing. Cory was also an avid fan of the Grateful Dead, a testament to his free spirit and love for music.
In addition to his mother, Cory is survived by his sister, Jordan Landis, and her husband, Justin, of Thomasville; his nephew and niece, Justin and Jemma Landis, of Thomasville; his maternal grandmother, Beverly Swartz, of Hanover; his uncle, Edward Swartz, and his wife, Jackie; as well as numerous loving cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Cory was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Swartz.
In accordance with Cory's wishes, there will be no public viewing or services. Following cremation, the family will hold a private burial at Rest Haven Cemetery.
