Cosme Martin Lopez

On January 30, 2024, Cosme "Martin" Lopez of Washington, DC, passed away at home after a long battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Julia Bess Lopez; devoted father of Luke Martin Lopez and Charlotte Laine Lopez; Loving brother of Marisol Andrea Lopez, Silvia Tatiana Lopez, Lis Karen Lopez, and Roxana Gisela Lopez; he is also survived by his mother, Estela Maria Guzman and father, Cosme Lopez Montaño.
He was a lively, happy, and dedicated friend who loved to cook, sing, and spend time with others. He loved soccer and was a die-hard Boca fan. After graduating high school, he began working in construction with his father. In 2000, he decided to take a chance and come work in the United States for a few years; then he decided to stay. He met his wife in 2004, and they were married in 2006. His son was born in 2012, and his daughter in 2015. He worked over 28 years in construction, operating heavy machinery and tower cranes. He loved building and working on projects. He continued his love of projects at home, caring for and always providing the best for his wife and children.
Funeral services will be held on February 11, 2024, 2pm, at Takoma Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Era un amigo vivaz, feliz y dedicado al que le encantaba cocinar, cantar y pasar tiempo con los demás. Le encantaba el fútbol y era un fanático acérrimo del Boca. Después de graduarse de la escuela secundaria, comenzó a trabajar en la construcción con su padre. En el año 2000, decidió arriesgarse y venir a trabajar a Estados Unidos durante unos años; Entonces decidió quedarse. Conoció a su esposa en el 2004 y se casaron en el 2006. Su hijo nació en el 2012 y su hija en el 2015. Trabajó más de 28 años en la construcción, operando maquinaria pesada y grúas. Le encantaba construir y trabajar en proyectos. Continuó su amor por los proyectos en casa, cuidando y brindando siempre lo mejor a su esposa e hijos.
Los servicios fúnebres se llevarán a cabo el 11 de febrero del 2024, a las 2 p.m., en la Iglesia Adventista de Takoma Park.
