Courtney Elizabeth Leonard, 41, of Iowa, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on April 14, 1984, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Gregory Hebert and Tina Mott Drost.
A 2002 graduate of Singer High School, Courtney later earned her Associate Degree in Accounting from Sowela and completed her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Grand Canyon University in 2023. She was proud of her work as a Funds Coordinator for Federal Programs with the Calcasieu Parish School Board, where her dedication and professionalism touched many.
Courtney married the love of her life, Mason Leonard, and together they built nearly 20 years of marriage rooted in partnership, laughter, and deep devotion. She was a fiercely loving mother and "rodeo mom" to Jadon Kole and Brylee Paige, cheering them on in every season of their lives.
Courtney found joy in Toledo Bend camping trips, wearing big earrings and matching jewelry, and always keeping her hair and makeup styled just right. She loved shopping, spending time with family and friends, and living life with fun and intention. She lived her Catholic faith quietly but sincerely, carrying a steady devotion to the Lord that guided her life and the way she loved others.
She is survived by her husband, Mason Leonard; her son, Jadon Kole Leonard; and her daughter, Brylee Paige Leonard. She also leaves behind her parents Tina and David Drost and Greg and Kristie Hebert; her siblings, Paul (Cheramie) Hebert, Devon (Brian) Trahan, and Braque Addison; and her grandparents John Otis (Ruby) Hebert and Kenneth (Linda) Addison, Sr.
She is also survived by her in-laws, Avery and Judy Leonard; Kennon (Rachel) Leonard; and Cora Beth (Jeremy) Waltrip.
Courtney was a cherished aunt to Clay Perkins, Kaylee Perkins, Jude Hebert, Owen Hebert, Grant Hebert, and Bea Addison, as well as Randy (Lindsey) Leonard, Avery Kate Leonard, Rhett Leonard, and Jole' Waltrip.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Petty Mott, Verna Landry, Gale Addison, Robert Drost, and Delores Lee.
Courtney's presence filled every room with warmth, style, and laughter. Her love for her family was unmistakable, and her memory will continue to shine through the lives of those who loved her most.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a rosary recited at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at 1:30 p.m., and the funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Following the service, Courtney will be laid to rest at Lorraine DeRouen Cemetery.
