Born to Coy Sr. Buchanan and Grace Rogers Buchanan in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Coy was a man of quiet strength and steady kindness, deeply devoted to his family and those he loved. He found joy in life's simple moments whether sharing stories, lending a helping hand or working on cars. He was happiest when spending time outdoors-hunting, fishing, and slow drives around the lake. His humor, warmth, and generosity touched everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters Samantha Buchanan and Chevaun Hernandez. Granchildren Marcos, Cynthia, Carmen, Sylvia, and Story. Great granddaughter Jet Ruth. Who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He was preceded in death by both parents, siblings Sylvia Jo and Jerry Dale, son-in-law Abraham Hernandez, along with his loving wife Sharla Buchanan.
