Coy Nichols Obituary
He was born July 20, 1936 in Roane County, a son of the late Charles Lester Nichols and Bessie Pearl Justice Nichols. He was a retired truck driver for WV Welding and later Air Gas and was a member of the Left Hand Independent Baptist Church.
Coy is survived by his companion, Hellen Batten of Spencer; daughters, Sharon Salisbury (Terry Matheney) of Left Hand, Kathy Nichols (Hunter Browning) of Spencer, West Virginia, and Donna Jones (Stanley) of Ripley, West Virginia; brothers, Rondel Nichols (Opal) and Delmis Nichols (Margaret), all of Ohio, and Lee Nichols (Netta Ruth) of Left Hand; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Nichols; son, Hubert Glen Nichols; great-grandson, Nathan Jones; sisters, Mardell McGlothlin and Eula Mae Goodwin; and brother, Melvin Nichols.
Service will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will follow in the Snodgrass Cemetery near Linden/Tariff, West Virginia. Visiting is two hours prior to the service.

Coy was the sweetest man. He welcomed me into the family with open arms. I am sorry that my son his great grandson did not get to spend as much time with him as we would have liked. God rest his sweet loving soul.
