Coy Robinson, age 83 of Cleveland, passed away on November 1, 2025 following an extended illness.
Coy was born May 23, 1942, to the late David (Doad) Robinson and Bonnie Sutton Robinson. Coy was drafted into the United States Army in 1968 where he served a tour in Korea performing infantry duties on the D.M.Z. He then returned home to fix machines at Ames Textile for 23 years and then worked for Georgia Department of Transportation for 30 years until he retired. Coy loved to mechanic, fix things, and tell tall tales to make people laugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, J.C. Robinson, Hoyt Robinson, Bill Robinson and Harlan Robinson, sister, Helen Robinson Allsion.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joanne Jackson Robinson; son, Rondal Robinson; sister, Francine Robinson Hooper; grandchildren, Hunter and Piper Robinson, also, several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Phillip Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Monday at the funeral home.
