Craig A. (C.J.) Blank, Jr. 45, of Riverside, NJ, passed away on October 10, 2025. Born on May 3, 1980, to Kathleen Freund (step-father Jeff) (née Preston) and the late Craig Allen Blank Sr., C.J. was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle.
He was the devoted husband of 17 years to Valerie Blank (née Pfeifer) and the proud father of Leah, Ella, and Ian. He was the cherished brother of Alyson Gould (Scott) and a loving uncle to Aiden and Abigael, Kaitlyn, Ethan and Xander. Nephew to Megan (Brady Watson), Carol (Kevin McDevitt) and survived by his cousins.
C.J. was a dedicated EMT who proudly served with the Cherry Hill Department for many years. He had a deep compassion for others-both people and animals alike-and was known for rescuing pets in need and giving them loving homes. C.J.'s family trips to Disney World were among his greatest joys-he would happily make the long drive with the family dogs while the rest of his family flew down to meet him there. He loved his Flyers and Eagles and was a true fan.
A true craftsman at heart, C.J. loved woodworking and building custom furniture that now adorns his home. He also enjoyed fishing wherever the fish would bite, creating his own custom lures, and tinkering with just about anything he could get his hands on. Above all, C.J. loved his family deeply and took pride in serving his community as an EMT.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 16, at Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by his funeral service at 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Craig's memory to the Mount Laurel Animal Hospital Empath Program at https://mlahvet.com/the-empath-project/
