Craig Reichert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cagle Funeral Home - Jasper on Feb. 5, 2026.
Craig Alan Reichert, of Nelson, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, service and steadfast faith. Born August 18, 1956, in Owosso, Michigan. Craig was the beloved son of Gary Reichert and Carol Stewart.

Craig was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend. A lifelong auto mechanic, he found joy not only in the precision of his craft but in sharing that passion with his grandchildren, teaching them the value of hard work and the satisfaction of fixing things with your own hands. His garage was more than a workspace-it was a classroom, a sanctuary, and a place where stories were shared and bonds were built. He loved serving others, whether through his work, his church, or simply lending a hand to anyone in need. Craig's heart was as generous as his smile, and his faith as strong as his character. A devout Christian, he lived his beliefs daily, offering kindness, patience, and grace to all who crossed his path. Craig cherished traveling with his loving wife, Connie, exploring new places and making memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew them. He found peace in the outdoors-whether playing softball, hiking, or simply soaking in the beauty of creation.

He is preceded in death by his father-in-law D.H. (Ham) Childers and his step-father Allan Stewart.

He is survived by his devoted wife Connie Childers Reichert; his parents Gary (Janet) Reichert and Carol Stewart; mother-in-law Linda (Cliff) Childers-Logan; daughters, Tiffany (Lance) Reichert and Bethany (Luke) Marrott; stepsons, Chad (Stephanie) Morris and Darrin Morris; grandchildren, Bryson (Thomas) Brace, Kyden Oliver, Kelby Marrott, Liliana Marrott, Phoenix Marrott, Hannah (John) Morris, Ethan Morris, Evan Morris, Kara Morris, Alexander Morris, Nicholas Cochran and McKayla Beavers; great grandchildren, Charles Steven (Lil'Charlie) Culpepper; brothers, Brian (Cathy) Reichert and Mark (Mary Jo) Reichert; and sister Lori (Alan) Tison; sister-in-law, Tammie (Henry) Cantrell. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many other family members.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:00am until 8:00pm.

A funeral service will be conducted at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to honor Craig's life on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 2:00pm officiated by Brother Craig Chester followed by burial at Hinton Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Reichert, Mark Reichert, Chad Morris, Darrin Morris, Lance Oliver, and Luke Marrott. Honorary pallbearers include Ethan Morris, Evan Morris, Brian Chastain, and Jacob Chastain. Junior pallbearers will be Phoenix Marrott, Alexander Morris, and Kyden Oliver.
