Mr. Craig L. Robinson, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Memorial Health University Medical Center. He was a native of Statesboro and the son of Betty Baldwin Robinson and Bernie Lee "Sugar Boy" Robinson, both deceased.
He graduated from Statesboro High School in 1978, then attended South Georgia College and Georgia Southern College.
Mr. Robinson worked at the Walmart Super Center in Statesboro for thirty-five years before retiring due to health reasons. During his time there, he received "The Star Walk of Fame" and multiple awards for his dedicated service.
He joined Hodges Grove Baptist Church early in life and served faithfully. Craig enjoyed sports, especially baseball, and was a dedicated Atlanta Braves fan.
Those left to cherish his memories are, his sister, Petronia B. Dixon, Statesboro, GA; a nephew, Larry Dixon IV, Statesboro, GA; a stepbrother, Alvin Wilkerson, Elizabeth, NJ; a stepsister, Roberta McBride, Savannah, GA; three nieces, Jazzmine A. Dixon Bell, Boca Raton, FL; Ajalae A Dixon and Nia E. Dixon, both of Atlanta, GA; one aunt, Vera Mae Baldwin, Statesboro, GA, a very special friend, Louise Williams, Statesboro, GA, a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Mr. Robinson will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 P.M. at Hill's Mortuary.
Mr. Robinson will lie in repose at the church on the day of service from 12 noon until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
The funeral service for Mr. Craig L. Robinson, will be held at 1 P.M., Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Original First African Baptist Church, The Rev. Christopher Culbreth, Pastor, Minister Mattie Harris, Presiding, and the Rev. Dr. John Harmon Officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastside Cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
