Craig Steven Warner, age 77, passed away on January 12, 2026, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Craig was born on April 2, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Willard and Anita Warner. When Craig was two years old, the family moved to Springfield, Missouri. Fifteen months later, his brother Chris was born, followed three years later by his sister, Cynthia. Craig spent most of his life in the Springfield and Nixa area and considered it home.
He was a 1966 graduate of Glendale High School. Following high school, Craig proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that helped shape his strong work ethic.
After his service, Craig owned a truck leasing company for a time before beginning a long career as a professional truck driver. He spent more than 40 years on the road and genuinely enjoyed over-the-road trucking and the freedom it offered. Away from work, Craig enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Anita Warner.
He is survived by his brother, Chris (Debbie) Warner; his sister, Cynthia (Jerry) Warner; his nephew, Landon Warner and family; his nieces, Heather Wilson and family, and Kara Rasco and family; six great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends.
The family would like to extend a special acknowledgment and heartfelt thanks to Pat Knisell for his kind and compassionate caregiving.
Craig will be remembered for his love of the open road and his steady presence in the lives of those who knew him.
Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa and cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
