Craig A. Worman, age 72, of Franklin Nebraska, passed away on June 30, 2024.
Memorial celebration to be held July 11, 2024, at Crossgate Community Church at 11:00 a.m. in Franklin, Nebraska.
Craig was born on May 21, 1952 to Dolores (Stevens) and Dale Worman in Franklin. After graduating from Franklin High School in 1970, he attended The University of Nebraska for a few years before returning to the family farm to help his mother care for both the farm and his ailing father, Dale, who passed in 1975.
Craig’s long and active career involved farming, selling feed and seed, soybean extrusion, tree work, and many other endeavors. He loved his farm on Lovely Creek and the beautiful area surrounding it. His favorite activity was “running his dogs” along the trails of his pastures every evening. He considered the hills of the Republican Valley heaven on earth.
He loved antique tractors and driving his old Chevy pickup in parades and throwing out popsicles to the kids in Philipsburg, Kansas. He cherished his time as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Franklin County. He rarely missed a blood drive and was very proud of his blood donation status. He loved talking with people and making new friends wherever he went.
Craig was blessed with three sisters, one niece, five nephews, two children, and three grandchildren. His sisters, Pam Wilsman and Kris Johnson, both currently reside in Camdenton, Missouri with their husbands Jim Wilsman and Brian Johnson. His sister Jill Claasen resides in York, Pennsylvania with her husband Ned Claasen. His faithful daughter, Cameron Baker, currently residing in Round Rock, Texas with her husband, James, is the mother of Craig’s grandson, Jack, and his granddaughter, Grey. Craig’s beloved son and hunting partner, Clint Worman, 1984-2017, was the father of Craig’s granddaughter Vivian, who currently lives in Fort Worth, Texas.
We, the family, know he was abundantly blessed with helpful, loving, and compassionate friends during his life in Franklin. Craig spoke of you often. You are now, and have always been, in his heart.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the local FFA Chapter or the Franklin Fire/EMT Department in his name.
