Craig Allan Young, the son of Edward and Lillian (Beck) Young, was born January 26, 1955, in Audubon, IA and died October 1, 2025, at his home at the age of 70.

He attended Audubon Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 1973. On August 14,1985, he married Susan Platt at the Polk County Courthouse in Des Moines, Iowa and moved to their present home in 1986. Craig was a lifelong salesman, forever loyal to his Audubon roots.

He enjoyed all things sports, spending many hours on the golf course and always cheering on his Hawkeyes, Colts and Yankees.

Craig was preceded in death by his wife Susan, his parents, brother Alvie Young and sister Karen Young.

Survivors include stepchildren: Nick and wife Jacqueline Platt of Johnston, Iowa and their son Harrison and daughter Mara; Rachel and husband Joe Bolduc of Urbandale, Iowa and their son Will and daughter Sawyer; niece Julie Young, nephew Scott Young and other relatives and friends.

No services are planned.

Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon.
