Crescencio "Tony" Martinez

Crescencio "Tony" Martinez, 53 of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at home with his family by his side.
Tony was born April 19, 1972 in Juárez, Mexico and was a loving husband, father, and son of late Antonio Martinez Bailon and Evilda Neri (Guadarrama) Martinez. Tony married the love of his life, Tanya Marie Stephan on October 17, 2000, in Sturgeon Bay. He was hardworking and had a passion for cooking and feeding everyone around him. Tony used this passion at many Door County restaurants through out his life, including the Cookery, Trio, and Donny's Glidden Lodge. He also worked many years for Mastercraft in Sturgeon Bay.

Tony was known to be welcoming and kind to his neighbors and community. He was a lover of animals, nature, and the outdoors. Tony had a great sense of humor and was always cracking jokes with a big smile. He loved to people laugh and spending time with his family. Tony enjoyed gardening, cooking, soccer, and hosting backyard gatherings for friends and family. He was dedicated and always took pride in his work.

Tony will be missed by his loving wife, Tanya; children, Greg (Alexis) Stephan Martinez, Michael Martinez, Brandon Martinez; brothers and sisters, Vincenta (Jose) Martinez, Minerua Martinez, Fortunato Martinez, Jesus (Juana) Martinez, Antonia (Salomon) Martinez, Humberto (Nereida) Martinez, Berna (Elisa) Martinez, Mauricio (Tori) Martinez, Lola Martinez, Rubi Martinez, Alberto (Karen) Martinez; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Antonio Martiez Bailon and Evilda Neri (Guadarrama) Martinez.
Family and friends of Tony may visit on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. at Huehns Funeral Home, 1414 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay, WI 52435, until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Matthew Rappl officiating.
