Cristina was born in Rio Grande, PR on July 24, 1941 before moving to NYC in 1950.
Cristina loved hummingbirds, enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, listening to music, journaling and antiquing.
Cristina is predeceased by her husband Rafael, son Louis Velez, sister Yvette Guadalupe and parents, Arturo and Cristina Guzman.
She is survived by her loving children: Eugenia Vazquez and husband John of South Huntington, NY, Victor Velez and wife Karin of Old Bridge, NJ: cherished grandchildren: Jessica, Jacqueline, Victoria, Alexa, Alexander, Jeannie and Jonathan, great grandchildren: Brandon, Cristina, Julie, Dylan, Kristopher, Mia, Madicyn and Sofia. Cristina also leaves siblings, Jenny Albert and Alma Lugo.
Relatives and friends are invited Friday, June 20 from 4-8 PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735 and again Saturday June 21, 2025 8:30 AM at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial offered 9:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge.
Burial will follow at Forest Green Memorial Park, Morganville.
