Cristina Alvarez Tovar

Cristina Alvarez Tovar was born on October 12, 1948, and passed from this life on September 1, 2025.
Cristina had a deep love for travel-especially to places where she could dip her toes in the water and relax by the beach. She found joy in music and treasured moments that brought her family together.
A gracious host, she always made sure there was plenty of delicious food to share and enjoy.
She was a woman of quiet strength and deep faith, with her relationship with God being a guiding light throughout her life.
Cristina is survived by her devoted husband, Jorge Alvarez; her son, Jorge Alvarez Jr.; daughters, Fatima Ahsan and Nallely Gonzalez; as well as 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: sisters Irma Tovar Servin, Gloria Tovar-Avalos, Mercedes Tovar-Ponce de Leon, Carolina Tovar Obregon, and brother Jorge Tovar Servin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son Israel Alvarez, and sisters Georgia Avila and Patricia Tovar-Ruiz.
Cristina's warm spirit, unwavering faith, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Cristina sentía un profundo amor por los viajes, especialmente a lugares donde podía mojarse los pies en el agua y relajarse junto al mar. También le sobreviven sus hermanos: sus hermanas Irma Tovar Servín, Gloria Tovar-Ávalos, Mercedes Tovar-Ponce de León, Carolina Tovar Obregón, y su hermano Jorge Tovar Servín.
