Cruz Flores

We would like to announce the passing of our much loved mother, Cruz Flores, who passed away on the evening of November 4 at her home, surrounded by family. Mom was born, Cruz Lopez on May 2, 1944 to parents Isabelle Lopez and Maria Banda Lopez in Austin Texas. She is survived by her sons and daughter: Steve Lopez, Lorraine Vazquez, Jesse Vazquez, Joel Vazquez. Former spouse Jose Ruben Vazquez. Her sisters and brothers: Sylvia Vasquez, Michelle Lopez, Sandy Lopez, Tom Lopez, Rito Lopez. Grand children Alysa Vasquez; Alex, Sylvia, Marc Hernandez; Annabelle, Antonio, Isabelle, Julian Vasquez and Raelynn Vasquez, Son in law Jesus Hernandez and Daughter in laws: Karen Lopez, Maribel Hernandez. She worked alongside her sister Michelle for many years at Memorial Hospital and loved working in Central supply department as a sterilization technician. Mom was a loyal Chicago Bears Fan and was a true Momma Bear at heart when it came to the well being of her kids. She was a constant source of Strength and Comfort, who will be remembered for her teachings, smile, laughter and genuine nature. She leaves us with deep rooted spiritual faith and memories we will treasure to the end of our days, as they will continue to uplift our spirits and solidify many unbreakable bonds. Mom has gone to her heavenly home and is reunited with her parents, husband: Ruben Brady Flores and brothers: Albert and Rodrigo Lopez. Thank you Mom. We love you forever.
