Crystal Housewright Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lowell-Tims Funeral Home And Crematory - Altus on Mar. 5, 2025.
Crystal Yvonne Housewright, a devoted woman of faith, family, and compassion, passed away March 3, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on December 22, 1957, in Arlington, Texas, to Jerry Housewright and Linda Ann Whaley Olson. Raised on a dairy farm, in rural Texas. Crystal developed a deep and abiding love for animals, a passion that remained a cornerstone of her life and brought joy to all who knew her.
She attended Arlington High School. Crystal embraced life with a spirit of dedication and kindness. She worked in various roles throughout her life, but her favorite was serving as a shuttle driver at DFW Airport, where she touched countless lives with her warmth, friendliness and generosity.
On June 28, 1988, in Euless, Texas, Crystal's life was forever changed when she met Pamela Savage. Their chance encounter blossomed into a love story that spanned 35 beautiful years. Together, they built a life filled with love and devotion, residing in Arlington, Euless, and Bedford, Texas, before making their home in Altus, Oklahoma, in Easter 2022.
Crystal was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dick and Annie Whaley; her mother; her sister, Dina Housewright; and her dear friend, Dianna Ford. Though she is no longer with us, her memory lives in the hearts of those she cherished most.
She is survived by her beloved partner, of thirty-five years, Pamela Savage; best friend, Toni Richards from Massachusetts; her close friends, Shelly DePaepe, Kathy Yates, and Michelle Hoag; and countless other friends who were blessed to know her. Crystal's legacy of love, faith, and kindness will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in her life.
Crystal's unwavering devotion to God, her family, and her beloved animals defined her journey. Her gentle spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on the world, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Private family services will be held at later date.
