Larry Housewright Obituary
Larry was born in Kingsport, TN on February 4, 1952, to his parents, the late Claude and Mary (Pratt) Housewright. He married his wife, the late Cathie (Dean) Housewright in 1972, and together they had two children, Christy and Ben.
In addition to his parents, and loving wife of 49 years, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Housewright.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Christy Housewright; his son, Ben Housewright (girlfriend, Emily); his precious grandchildren, Gavin, Bentley, and Teagan; his sister, Mogeline Woods; his special friends, Donna Powell, and Paul Housewright; as well as several nieces, and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post # 3/265. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery 10:45 AM.

Thoughts and Prayers for the family. I worked with Larry for many years. He was one of my best friends. We shared a lot of jokes and laughter. Even after his retirement he would come by and visit. He will be truly missed.
