Crystal Lynn Perucca

Crystal Lynn Perucca, 60, passed away December 12, 2023 in the comfort of her home surrounded by those she loved treasured and held closest.
She was born in Detroit, October 29, 1963, the daughter of the late Donald and Shirley (Novenski) Tanner, raised in Warren and was a 1981 graduate of Warren Mott High School where she met the love of her life Steven Perucca, their marriage was September 15, 1984 in Warren, Michigan. They eventually moved to Clinton Township where she and Steve raised three adoring children, Jacob, Olivia and Chase.
Crystal held a number of positions throughout her life, but her time spent at Tiramis' transformed her into the chef and baker her loved ones were so routinely amazed by and grateful for (no more casseroles for us!). Her time at Sur La Table deepened that love of cooking and fostered lifelong friendships, all while outfitting hers and her children's homes with every imaginable kitchen instrument. And, finally, her time at Athleta where she could harmonize her love of exercise, friends and comfy pants.
A chef, baker, runner, bodybuilder, writer, reader, traveler, bar-hopper, beach bum, boater, Parrot Head, she had unending passions, but none greater than her beloved family. She is survived by her endlessly devoted husband of 39 years, Steve; daughter Olivia (Omar Dominguez); two sons, Jacob (Jessica), Chase (Chelsey); grandchild, Oliver; two brothers, David (Joyce), Craig (Sharie) Tanner.
Her legacy wouldn't be complete without mention of the organizations that she supported (and provided her with so much support): Alcoholics Anonymous, Macomb County Alano Center, Brighton Center for Recovery (Ascension), Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance and the ASPCA.
We're celebrating her memory and the immense love she provided to all of us on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 2 - 8pm with prayer service at 7pm at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Mt. Clemens. Visitation will resume Sunday, December, 17 at 10am with funeral services officiated by Pastor Jeff Frick at 11am.
In lieu of flowers (but Gerber Daisies if you desire), and to honor the causes that had such a profound impact on her life, the family suggests donations made to any of the following organizations: American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Ascension Brighton Center for Recovery, Alcoholics Anonymous, or Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.
