Curt Monte Allman returned Home to his Heavenly Father on December 19, 2024, after a valiant struggle with colon cancer. He endured treatments with unwavering faith and optimism. He went peacefully and was surrounded by the family he cherished.
Born on June 12, 1961, to Monte John and Mary Lou (Snow) Allman in Provo, Utah, he brought joy to the lives of everyone around him. Curt was an active and fun-loving boy, and loved riding his horse, Lancer, in the Uintas.
Curt attended Springville High School. He was involved with football, track, the Springville Highs, and drama. He had an infectious enthusiasm for life. Curt married Mari Lisabeth Hopkinson on May 31, 1980, and together, they had four wonderful children. Curt was devoted to his family. They were his greatest joy, along with his six grandchildren.
Curt discovered his calling in his twenties after his father taught him the art of frame making. With an extraordinary, God-given talent, Curt co-founded Allman- Ricks Frames in 1983, quickly earning a reputation as a master craftsman. His exquisite gold-leaf frames are admired worldwide, gracing the homes of renowned artists and celebrities, art museums, and Latter-day Saint temples. His eye for design was unmatched.
Curt's sense of style extended beyond his craft. Curt was always well-dressed. Architecture, cars, shoes, sunglasses, and Ralph Lauren were a few of his favorite things. At the same time, he'd be happy with a bowl of Apple Jacks and a comfy pair of Kirkland slippers. He loved to go golfing with his son, Curtis. Hobble Creek was his happy place!
Above all, Curt had an abiding faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. His humility, positivity, kindness, and quiet strength touched everyone he met. Heaven is rejoicing now that he's Home, but for those left behind, he will be missed deeply.
Curt was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Lou Allman, and Terry E. Miller, his brother-in-law. He is survived by his father Monte John Allman, his children Dustin Lewis Allman (Julie), Curtis Michael Allman, Duncan Monte Allman, and Melissa Allman Haupt (Mike), his sisters, Terri Sue Miller, Jamie Harmon, Anna Featherstone, his brother, Jake Allman- his grandchildren, Jace, Halli, Olive, Ruthie, Lauren, Monte, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at noon, with a viewing from 10:45-11:45 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 355 E. Center in Springville, UT. A viewing will be held Monday evening, Dec. 30th, from 6-8 p.m. at the same chapel. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery located west of Highway 89 at 1997 S. and 400 E. in Springville. Condolences to my beloved Allman family!
I was just looking at my contacts list and saw Monte´s numbers and called them both to no avail. So I googled Monte Allman and just saw this !!! Curt is an awesome guy in every way ... from an awesome family. I´ve known his dad Monte and had the amazing privilege to have done his portrait. As an artist and a very picky one at that when it comes to frames, Curt and Monte´s frames were my favorites! I also had the chance to work and exhibit with Curt´s uncle Roe ... another talented and gifted Allman! Thank you Curt for being You ... you are beloved forever !!!

I'm sorry to hear about Curt's passing. I was a former Brother in Law, and got to know and respect Curt. He was always friendly to me. I briefly worked for him constructing art frames and came to appreciate a beautiful built picture frame.
My heart goes out to his family.

I am so very sorry to hear about Curt´s passing. He was a kind and gentle soul. For many years, Curt was my Brother-in-Law. I´m grateful for the years I had with him and his (ex wife) Mari. They welcomed me into the family and I have many wonderful memories with them.

I´m especially grateful for the years I had getting to know his children Dustin (and Julie), Curtis, Melissa and Duncan. While we´re no longer related, his children are always welcome in my life.

Curt was so helpful helping us get a frame for our family picture. His father Monte is a dear friend and our love and knowledge of the Gospel that families can be together forever is our message of eternal hope.

I remember spending so much time with Curt when we young. Being only 6 months younger than Curt we grew up together. Christmas parties and Christmas dinner at Grandma Elsie´s are still my favorite memories. Curt will be missed by me and so many others. I wish I could be with you all. Hugs and prayers.
Love always,
Rochelle

Curt was a great friend and always so kind and so talented w/all those beautiful frames(which I´m lucky enough to enjoy in my home)! We had so many fun golf days almost weekly in the summer at his favorite place Hobblecreek! He will be sorely missed by all who loved and cherished his friendship! My prayers are w/you Curtis & Jamie & your families at this time!
