Curtis Dale Arnette, known to friends and loved ones as Curt, passed away on August 3, 2024, in Cartwright, Oklahoma. He was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, on April 8, 1958, the middle of three children to Paul and Jeanetta Arnette. He attended Velma-Alma high school and completed his bachelor's degree in electronics at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. After college, he worked for Procter and Gamble for 25 years, maintaining a 24-hour manufacturing operation for Folgers coffee. In 2012, he began a career with Halliburton, working on new challenges that made use of his electronics expertise. Outside of work, Curtis enjoyed spending time with family, relaxing at Lake Texoma, attending concerts with Megan, his wife of 40 years, and spoiling his two grandsons and two dogs. He also enjoyed woodworking and was a decades-long superfan of OU football. His grandsons were the highlight of his life; Curtis loved them dearly and relished the job of "pawpaw."
Curtis is survived by his beloved wife, Megan Arnette; daughter, Shay Orr; sons, Jeremy Arnette and wife Chelsey, and Josh Arnette and wife Katelan; and his cherished grandsons, Zayden and Harlen. Curt's legacy is also lovingly remembered by his mother, Jeanetta Arnette; sisters, Paula Conditt and husband James, and Tammi Bradford and husband Kyle; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members. Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Paul Arnette.
Curtis's life will be commemorated in the warm memories of those who knew him and in the stories they will continue to share. His humor, creative spirit, and generous nature have left an indelible mark on the hearts of many, and he will be deeply missed.

I met Curtis when he started his career with Halliburton in Instrument Assembly. I am so glad that we became friends through work. I´m gonna miss our talks about all the great upcoming concerts.
Hearing the news of his passing has been so sad. My condolences and prayers for his family.

Worked with Curtis, for a short time, but am fortunate to have had the opportunity. Rest in peace my friend and know we'll see each other again on the other side.
