Curtis Waylon Duco, age 23, of Northport, Alabama, passed away on October 13, 2025. Born on March 21, 2002, in Northport, Alabama, Curtis brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning.
A 2020 graduate of Northside High School, Curtis was known for his warm heart and unwavering kindness. He treated everyone he met with respect and compassion, forging deep connections that turned friends into family. His presence had a way of making others feel seen and valued, an extraordinary gift that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Curtis embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. Whether he was hunting or fishing, spending time on the sandbars, or diving into his newfound passion for duck hunting, he found happiness in the outdoors and in the company of those he loved. He especially cherished gatherings with family and friends, crawfish boils filled with laughter, spirited cornhole tournaments or simply sharing stories under the open sky.
Known affectionately as “Curtydoo,” Curtis was one of a kind, a loyal friend, a loving son and brother, and someone whose humor could brighten even the darkest day. His fun-loving spirit and genuine heart will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Joshua R. Duco, his grandfather, Arnie (Sonny) Miller Jr., and his great-grandparents, Arnie Sr. (Marie C) Miller, Argie Lee (Audra) Wheat, Lincoln (Argean) Champion.
Survivors include his Mother, Tiffany Duco (Keith Ellis), Brothers, Braxton Hall (Brooke Perkins), Dotson-Lee Duco (Savannah Herndon), Sister – Sunnie Duco (Cade Sullivan), Grandparents – Sherrie Summers, Glenn (Doc) Summers.
Other relatives: Tamara Summers, Thaniel, KW, and Bella Hayes, Scott, Tera, Jenna and Jessica Champion, Zebulon, Luci, Landon, Audrey, and Lauren Duco-Moore, Tommy, Rhonda, Alissa, Alexis , Ashton Thomas, and Austin Keller, Rodger Miller, Rodney and Laken Wheat. Brad. Bentley, Alex and Zack Miller, Blake (Jenna) Channell, Jordan Livingston.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire kindness in others. A Funeral Service will be held on October 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Magnolia Chapel North, 4905 AL-69 in Northport, Ala. Visitation will be at 11:00am, Funeral service will begin at 12:00pm, Graveside will follow at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery.
