Curtis Howard

Curtis Howard, 74, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday June 28, 2023. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama on April 14, 1949 to parents Cleveland and Vera (Little) Howard.
Curtis made his home in Lorain, Ohio, and retired from the US Steel Corporation after 42 years of service. Curtis was very soft spoken and laid back, and particularly kind. He loved spending time with his family, especially while enjoying good food, particularly when it included him manning the BBQ or a chicken and fish fry. He was affectionately known as "The Chicken Man." Curtis was very much into music, enjoying a good ride in a Cadillac, and playing gambling games with friends and family.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Shayla Howard and Judina Johnson; five cherished grandchildren, Sar-Daesha Howard, Daezon Howard, Lateasha Higgins, Terrell Higgins, and Christopher Johnson; 6 dear great grandchildren; and his beloved siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by beloved wife of over 40 years Johnnie Howard; his parents and beloved siblings.
Family will receive friend for visitation on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 5:00 - 6:00pm at Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd, Avon, OH 44011. Memorial service will follow at 6:00pm at the funeral home.
