Curtis Jacobsen, 64, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, in Des Moines, IA. Services will be held at the Iles Norwalk Chapel on Friday July 18th. Visitation will take place from 10:00 - 11:00 am, and a memorial service will begin at 11:00 am.

Curtis was born March 29, 1961, in Audubon, IA, to Leo and Roberta "Bobbie" (Curtis) Jacobsen, the youngest of five children. He graduated from Adair Casey in 1979, where he excelled in sports. Specifically in basketball, his team won second place at the state tournament and in track, where he broke lasting records. Curtis married Janet Stephenson, and the couple welcomed two children, Alex and Jessica. Curt was later married to Tina Mowry, and they were together until 2000.

Curtis was a jack of all trades, knowing how to repair almost anything. He loved creating art, fixing items to give them a second purpose, spending time with his many friends and listening to music in his free time, as well as cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs.

Curtis is survived by his son, Alex (Amanda) Jacobsen and three children (Jaxon, Emersyn and Breckin) of Norwalk, IA; daughter, Jessica (Tom) Vitanza and their son (Aaron) of Chesapeake, VA; Ex-wife, Janet (John) Della Vedova; siblings Dave (Peggy) Jacobsen of Oklahoma, Valerie Jacobsen of Norwalk, and Denise (Jon) Woody of Norwalk. He is preceded in death by his Father, Leo Milford Jacobsen, Mother, Roberta "Bobbie" Kathryn Jacobsen, and brother, Mike Jacobsen.
