Curtis Wayne Sharp was born on February 21, 1941, in Pryor, Oklahoma, to Owen and Colleen (Taylor) Sharp (weighing only three pounds). His parents moved to California where he started school. The family then returned to Oklahoma, where Curtis attended school in Chouteau and Salina (where he graduated high school).
After graduation, Curtis opened a Daylight Donut shop in Pryor. He then joined the National Guard and served at Fort Polk, Louisiana. After his service duty was over, he worked for Daylight Donut Company for over 45 years. He was a sales rep and travelled all over the country opening Daylight Donut shops.
Curtis was married to Helen Brown on December 26, 1971, in Salina, Oklahoma. He coached little league baseball for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was active in Methodist Movers and Methodist Men. He loved to ride all terrain vehicles with his buddies and spend time with his family.
Curtis Sharp departed this life on July 05, 2025, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 84.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Sharp; sons: Matt (Charissa) Sharp and Ron Sharp; daughter, Dana (Brian) Thomas; grandchildren: Conner Thomas, Dax, Ava and Liv Sharp; brother Gary Sharp; sister-in-law, Charlotte Sharp; as well as a niece, a nephew, many cousins, and a beloved aunt, Patty Carpenter.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Colleen Sharp.
