Curtis "Curt" William Borchering, 92 of Zionsville, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022.
Curt was born in Valonia, Indiana on February 3, 1930, a son of the late Gus and Esther (Hauer) Borcherding. He married the love of his life, Ruah Borcherding on December 19, 1951. They spent 68 years of marriage together before her passing in 2020. Curt served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean conflict, attaining the rank of Sergeant prior to his retirement from service. He was a past commander of Zionsville American Legion Post 79, and stayed a member until his passing.
Survivors include son, Craig Borcherding; sister, Lois Martin; grandchildren, Jenny Boles (Andy), Randi Ayala (Jose), Devon Williams (J Williams), Alisha Brenneke (Nick), Tasha Cheek (John) and Amber Borcherding; great-grandchildren, Rigo, Alicia, Susie, Emma, Cameron, and Noah; and great-great-grandchild, Zyair Ayala. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruah Borcherding, son, Eric Borcherding, his parents, and sister, Joann Klingler.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 11am until the time of his funeral service at 1pm, at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 125 W. Sycamore St. Zionsville, IN 46077. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Zionsville Cemetery.
