Margaret "Meg" Anna Ramey Julien was born April 10, 1924 to John Ruby Ramey and Cora Mildred Bowen Ramey in Tippecanoe County, near Petit, IN. She attended school in Delphi, IN and graduated from Delphi High School in 1942. She went to college in Lafayette, IN and was initiated into the Delta Gamma sorority in April, 1945. She graduated from Purdue University in 1946. She taught school in Logansport and Flora, IN. She was married to Eran H Julien on Dec. 19, 1948. Eran was also one of her classmates throughout their schooling in Delphi. Margaret taught second and sixth grade students in the Eagle Elementary school system from1960 to 1968. In the fall of 1968, she changed positions to be in charge of the Eagle Elementary school library. She was in charge of the Eagle and Pleasant View school libraries until her retirement in 1989. She received a Masters degree of Library Sciences from Butler University. She was former President of the Hussey Mayfield Library Board from 1983-1993 and helped to supervise construction of the Hussey Mayfield Library – Zionsville branch at 250 N. Fifth Street, which opened January 31, 1994.
Margaret helped form and organize the Delphi chapter of the Tri Kappa sorority and was President of Tri Kappa in Zionsville from 1972 – 1973. Margaret was the first woman member of the Zionsville Lions Club and she and Eran were very active in the Lions Club's support of Leader Dogs for the Blind. She is very proud to be the Grand Marshall of the 2016 Lions Club Parade. Margaret and Eran were members of Zionsville United Methodist Church for over 70 years. They loved traveling and visited many European countries over the years after Margaret retired from the school system in 1989
Margaret was very active in the Zionsville Woman's Club and was President of the club from 1998-1989.
Margaret is survived by her two children, James Ramey Julien and Susan Margaret Julien, along with grandchildren, Esme Julien Boyce, Cody James Julien Boyce, Jamaica Ann Reese Julien, Jayhawk Christopher Reese Julien and great grandson, Tahlo Travieso-Boyce.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 11am until the time of her funeral service at 12pm at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 125 W. Sycamore St. Zionsville, IN 46077. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in a private ceremony, at the Delphi Masonic Cemetery.

Meg loved her community and did so much to make it a better place for many of us. I knew her through the church, the library and TriKappa. She was always a kind lady who was interested and involved.
