Curtis McCoy Williams passed peacefully from this life Thursday, December 11, 2025.
There will be a graveside service at Fairmount Baptist Church, Red Level, AL on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
He was born on April 22,1931 in Red Level, AL, where he was raised by his parents John and Allie with his siblings: Twinett, Loyette, Leroy, Archie, Caudie Fay, and Mary Lou before joining the Army. He bravely served as a medic in the Korean War, and spent the remainder of his career as a physician's assistant in the Air Force. His career in the Air Force brought him and his beloved wife, Betty, and son, John all over the world on many joyful adventures. Upon retirement from the Air Force, he proudly worked for Dr. Vanlandingham for many years as his physician's assistant in Flomaton. When he retired, he spent most of his days working on his farm and caring for his horses. In his later years, he loved to travel with his companion of over 20 years, Bea Mason. They embarked on many adventures across the United States including visits with his granddaughters and great-grandsons.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Allie; siblings Twinett, Loyette, Leroy, Archie, Caudie Fay; wife Betty Jane Tollison Williams, and his son, John Alan Williams. He is survived by his sister, Mary Lou Cowan; companion Bea Mason of Red Level; daughter-in-law, Mary Lynn Williams of Birmingham; granddaughter Mary Katherine Bartlett (Andrew) of Birmingham; granddaughter Lauren Alane Williams of Mobile; great-grandsons: Nathan, Barnes, and Will; and several beloved cousins.
