Cynthia Brown Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 3, 2026.
Cynthia Fay Brown (Palmer), affectionately known to family and friends as "Cynthy," passed away on December 30, 2025, in Bristol, Connecticut, at the age of 74.
Born on December 18, 1951, Cynthia grew up in Falls Village, Connecticut, and attended Housatonic Valley Regional High School. She cherished the time spent with family and friends and, though refreshingly direct, her honesty was always rooted in love.
Cynthia enjoyed knitting, listening to Garth Brooks, and sharing family picnics on Music Mountain-simple moments that brought her comfort and happiness. She especially valued time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and took pride in watching her family grow.
She is survived by her sisters Jane Martel and her husband John, and Mary Ostrander; and her brothers Michael "Mickey" Palmer and his wife Suzanne, and Donald Palmer.
She is also survived by her children Susan Egerton and her husband Jeff of North Carolina; Christeen Hansen and her husband Dale of Florida; Liza North of Florida; and Shari Noonan and her husband Gary of New York; as well as her niece Heather Briska of Connecticut, whom she considered a daughter.
Cynthia was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to Candace Dean and her husband Tyler of Connecticut, and their child Colton; William North of Florida; Robert Adams and Ashleigh Egerton of North Carolina; Desiree Egerton and her husband Bryan of New York, and their children Mera and Brayden; Tiffany Sears and her husband Holden of Florida, and their children Emmitt, Lilith, and Charlotte; Phillip "Dylan Tyler" Lane Jr. and his husband Peyton of Florida; Crystal Burnett and her husband Dimitri of New York, and their child Peter; and Brian Burnett of New York.
She was preceded in death by her lifelong partner John Breen; her sisters Carol Tubbs, Diane Briska, and Barbara Palmer; her brother Martin "Marty" Palmer; and her parents Martin Palmer Sr. and Hazel (Markham) Palmer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
