Cynthia Catherine Cullen, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 81 on Sunday, August 24, 2025. She was at home, surrounded by the family she so dearly loved.

Born on February 24, 1944, in Marion County, Kentucky, to the late Joseph and Louise Davis, Catherine had a spirit that bloomed as brightly as the flowers in her garden. She was known for her green thumb, taking great pride in her vegetable garden and canning the harvest to share with her family. Her hands were rarely still, creating beautiful quilts, intricate crochet pieces, and detailed needlepoint that will be treasured for generations.

For 62 years, Catherine was the devoted wife of Donald "Donnie" Cullen Sr. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose laughter filled her with happiness.

She is survived by her husband, Donnie, her daughter, Lisa Higgs and son, Donald R. Cullen Jr. and his wife Renae; her grandchildren, Joshua Higgs, Meagan Bryant and her husband Craig, and Kassie Cullen; and her great-grandchildren, Sophia and Hunter Dunnavan, Remy, Riley, and Jovie Bryant. She also leaves behind her siblings, Mary Ann Morrison and her husband Jim, Thomas Davis and his wife Joyce, Louis Davis, and Diane Abel; and her godchildren, Jimmy Morrison and Malena Bailey.

Catherine was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Scott Higgs; and her siblings, Bill, Charlie, Libby, Damon, Ruben, Joe Gerald, Harold, and Francis Marvin Davis.

A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 5-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hosparus Health.
