He loved a good challenge and was known for his knack for beating younger players on the basketball court. Jim was also a passionate fan of both the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky, and enjoyed watching any sport he could.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Diana Johnson of Jeffersonville, IN; his grandchildren, Jayla Sumner of Louisville, KY, Amanda Robbins (Logan) of Jeffersonville, IN, Andrew Johnson (Alivea) of Taylor Mill, KY, and Faith Hall of Lexington, KY. He also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Karisma and Klarisa Foster of Jeffersonville, IN, and a nephew, Danny Schnuck of Louisville, KY. Jim will be deeply missed by his faithful dog and companion, Ollie, who was by his side until the end.

Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie Sumner; his son, Scott Johnson; his parents, James and Pearl Anders; and his brother, Squeaky Anders.
