Cynthia Terry Davis, age 81, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest at Bridgepoint Continuing Care Hospital (West Jefferson Medical Center) surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Cynthia was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse, who was formerly employed with West Jefferson Hospital, Touro Shakespear Nursing Home, Jefferson Parish Public School System, and as a Private Duty Nurse. She was a faithful member of White Chapel Baptist Church of Harvey. Cynthia was also a member of Nightingales Nursing Club and Westside Missionary Baptist Church Association Ministers Wives. Beloved wife of Rev. Charlie R. Davis. Devoted mother of Cheryl L. (Clarence) Johnson, Rev. Marvin T. (Bridgette) Johnson, Dr. Travis (Leatrice) Johnson, and Roxanne J. Young (Gary) Rafe. Loving grandmother of Travis Johnson, Jr., Trenton Johnson, Trevor Johnson, Natalie Young, Clarence Bradford Ellison, and Justin Johnson. Daughter of the late Steve Terry and Minnie Lou Harris Terry. Granddaughter of the late Ben Harris, Sr., Lauda Gaston Harris, Cleveland Terry and Willie Lee Terry. Sister of Willie (Barbara) Terry, Jeanette (the late Mickey) Barnes and the late Joyce Jimcoily. Also cherishing her memories are 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of White Chapel Baptist Church, Israel Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; members of Westside Missionary Baptist Association are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Israel Baptist Church, 1612 Esther Street, Harvey, LA on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Darrell McKinnies, host pastor; Pastor John Mason, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Westlawn Cemetery-Gretna, LA.
