Cynthia Lea Dean, 57, of Staunton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
She was born on April 14, 1967, in Washington, D.C., to David Lee Dean and the late Yvonne Marie Fitzgerald Arndt.
Cynthia had a passion for drawing and coloring, which brought her joy. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends - creating wonderful memories. She also loved fishing and crafts.
In addition to her father, David Lee Dean; her stepmother, Vaida Marie Dean; and her fiancé, Richard E. Simmons, she is survived by her sons, Travis Scott Blackwell and Kevin Andrew Blackwell; her brother, Duane Allen Dean and his wife, Lorrie; her sister, Melissa Dean Buie and her husband, Daniel; eight grandchildren; her stepsiblings, Christopher Rodgers and Kimberly Laraway and her husband, David; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.
A private graveside service will be held at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro.
