Cynthia J. Johnson, 72, of Warwick, passed away due to complications from ALS Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at RI Hospital.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Irma A. (Fallat) and the late Vincent A. Ricci.

Cynthia worked as a Registered Nurse before retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. She was also a gifted artist, she enjoyed sketching, drawing, and painting in her free time. She had a great love of the Italian language which she was learning. Most of all Cynthia loved her family, she was a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother. She was lovingly known as "Gamma".

Besides her mother, Cynthia is survived by her children Christie J. Champlin and Everett W. Johnson and his wife Danielle. She is also survived by her grandchildren Zacharey T. Champlin, William E. and Wyatt W. Johnson. She was the sister of Anthony Ricci and the late Marilyn Tomassone. She is also survived by her loving partner Anthony C. Sanchez.

Her funeral will be held at 9:30 am Thursday, October 2 from the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mercy Church, East Greenwich. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 1, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Cynthia's memory may be made to ALS Association (https://www.als.org/?form=general&s_src=donatebutton), or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105 would be greatly appreciated.
