Cynthia Kinsella Obituary

Cynthia DeVore Kinsella, 69, of Dalton, died Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at her home.

Born in Canton, Illinois, on September 4, 1956, the daughter of Nelson M. and Janet E. Lowder DeVore, she was educated in Havana, Illinois, schools and was a 1975 graduate of Havana High School.

At the time of her death, Mrs. Kinsella was President of the American Bladder Cancer Society, a non-profit organization she founded with her husband in February 2008.

She had previously been a real estate agent and was a homemaker throughout.

She leaves her husband, Edward J. Kinsella, whom she married on December 24, 1992. She is also survived by her sons, Eric Kinsella of Dalton and Ken & Suzi Kinsella of West Virginia, and two grandchildren, Lulu and CeCe.

In keeping with Mrs. Kinsella's wishes, her funeral service was private. DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME was in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers or a donation to a charitable organization, the family encourages others to practice kindness, enjoy life, and make great memories!

I met Cynthia when I lived in Florida. I had bladder cancer in 2008 and found the Bladder cancer web site on the computer. I was so happy when I found Cynthia was from Dalton as I am a native Daltonian. While home on our summer trip we met and had breakfast. She was a lovely lady and I am sorry for your loss
