Cynthia Ann Outhier (Beardsley), known affectionately as Cindy, passed into our loving Father's arms on September 6, 2024, in Yukon, Oklahoma, at the age of 77. Born on February 13, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Cindy spent her younger years in Texas before moving with her family to Arkansas. Upon meeting the love of her life, Ken Outhier, she spent several years traveling with Ken as an Air Force wife before they eventually made a home in Oklahoma.
Cindy's professional life tended to depend upon where her husband's Air Force career landed them. Her most enjoyable positions included stints as a newspaper journalist and a cosmetologist allowing her creative talents to shine. Outside her professional life, Cindy loved to drop a hook and worm in the water, garden with her grandchildren, and hop in the car for a weekend jaunt to the casino.
Described by those who knew her as loving, generous, wise cracking, full of faith, and fiercely loyal, Cindy's presence was a comfort and a source of strength to her family and friends. She was quick to ask about your well-being, offer encouragement, and share her faith.
She is survived by her mother Betty Jo (Roach) Beardsley; brother John Beardsley and partner David Long; daughter Tami Was and spouse Phil Was; grandson Dakota McCart and partner Laraine Denney; grandson Christian Was and spouse Breana Was; granddaughter Casey Was and fiancé Tyler Stevenson; and great-grandchildren Savannah McCart, Pryor Was, and Harley McCart.
Cindy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Kenneth Outhier; grandparents Wagner and Vesta Roach; father James Beardsley; sisters Jami Beardsley and Mary (Beardsley) Angelini; and her grandson Phillip Was, Jr.
