Cynthia Ann 'Cindy' Price, 75, of Marquette, and former Crystal Falls resident, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, June 24, 2024 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility, under the care of her loving family and Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice.
Cindy was born May 27, 1949 in New Orleans, LA, and was raised by her parents, Bill and Patricia Nyari. She was raised in Louisiana and lived in various locations over her lifetime, including South Bend, IN and locally in Crystal Falls and Marquette. She worked in various roles over her working career, including waitressing at the VFW in Crystal Falls, and most recently at Family Dollar in Crystal Falls from where she retired.
In her spare time, she loved doing yardwork, being with her friends, playing cards, telling stories, and had an infectious sense of humor. Cindy was an avid and dedicated fan of the New Orleans Saints and Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and never missed a game. She was an amazing care taker, having cared for her mother for over 10 years. Cindy was always proud of her family, and was never shy to tell those around her of her love for them.
Surviving are her son, Kent (Jennie) Price, Jr., of Newport News, VA; her daughter, Kristi (Dana) Ferguson of Negaunee; seven grandchildren: Connor and Cameron Price, Kiera (Ray Chojnacki) Schiavo, Austin Johnson, and Jake, Oliver and Sebastian Ferguson; two brothers, Jim and Don (Mary) Miller; sister-in-law, Debbie Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Kenny Miller.
Honoring Cindy's wishes, private family services will be held at later date.
