Jimmy Louis Price

Dear Family & Friends,

With heavy hearts, we share the news that our father, Jimmy Louis Price, passed away in Greensboro, NC on August 26, 2025 at the age of 78.

He was born on September 19, 1946 in Siler City, NC to Isaiah (Zeke) and Stella Price. Jimmy was the fourth of six children. Over the years, he lived in Ohio, Maryland, and eventually returned to his birth state, North Carolina.

Jimmy was an entrepreneur at heart. He never hesitated to try something new. Even at the young age of 78, he followed his passions in many different directions, and continued to embrace life's opportunities. In his youth, Jimmy played baseball and boxed. Over the years, he poured his passion into numerous ventures. Jimmy owned auto shops in MD and NC, and he opened a successful restaurant in Liberty, NC where people from near and far would come to enjoy his fried chicken. Cooking and sharing meals while fellowshipping with others remain some of our most fond memories of him. Jimmy's love for classic cars was also unmistakable-especially his favorite, the Pontiac GTO.

Known for his wit, humor, strong-willed perseverance, strength, and charisma, our father lived a determined and youthful life even in his later years. His strong belief in the Lord Jesus Christ was evident, and we believe it brought him comfort during his final days. We hope you will remember him in your own way, thinking of him with love.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Thelma Elaine Price [1997]. He leaves behind former spouse, Gladys Quintanilla [16 years]; siblings Wade Headen and (Sharon) Lynette Price; four children Tracey Rush (Jerome Rush), Marshay Price, Cherie Broussard (Jacob Broussard), and Eva Quintanilla. He had nine beautiful grandchildren. Jimmy will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A special thank you from the family to Cathy Jacobs for her support during this time.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service. While this may feel unusual, we take comfort in honoring his request.
