Brian Peter Heger

Brian Peter Heger, 58, of Siler City, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2025. Born on May 19, 1967, in Owosso, Michigan, Brian lived a life marked by honesty, imagination, and a plethora of ideas. He was a selfless and deeply protective individual who prioritized the well-being of those he loved.
Brian worked in the welding trade before health conditions led him to focus on personal interests and hobbies. He found fulfillment in various activities, including fishing, practicing Tai Chi, karate, 3D printing, and model cars. His love for learning and growth was evident in his desire to read, write, and study different subjects. Debating was also a significant part of his life, as he enjoyed engaging in deep conversations that challenged multiple perspectives.
Brian is survived by his mother, Georgia Lee; daughter, Jessica Anne Heger; and grandson, Christopher S. O'Quinn. He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings, Trudy Coon, Joanna Miller (Timo Miller), Betrina (Lee) Stitt (Daniel), Cassie (Lee) Wissink (Matt), and Justina (Lee) Gilbert (Chamus), as well as stepbrother Robert Lee and many nieces (Krystle Heger-Stone) and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Heger; grandfather, Frank Heger; stepfather, Robert "Bob" Lee; siblings Peter Cooper, Maria, Dana Lee, and Brianna Lee; and stepsister Diana Thompson.
A funeral gathering will be held on Sunday, August 24th, at 5:00 p.m. at LakeShore Vineyard Church, 710 Central Ave, Holland, MI 49423.
