Cynthia "Cyndee" Louise Swayne, age 68, of Albia, IA, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at her home. Cyndee was born on August 24, 1957, to Orville and Mary (Claybrook) Wendelboe in Numa, IA, where she grew up attending school. In 1977, she was united in marriage to Arthur Dale Swayne Jr. in Knoxville and to this union, 2 children, Willie and Emily, were born. Later in life she and Arthur divorced and in 1996, she met her longtime companion, William Kamerick. Cyndee dedicated 22 years of her life as a dietician at the VA Hospital in Knoxville. She later worked at Hardees in Albia and finished her working career at Cargill. Cyndee enjoyed being outdoors, especially mushroom hunting, searching for arrow heads, and tending to her garden. She had a deep love for dogs, especially her labs, Harley, Chopper, and Primo. She collected antiques, with Coca Cola memorabilia being her favorite. Cyndee also enjoyed refinishing furniture and most of all, treasured time spent with her friends. Cyndee is survived by her children, Willie (Sarah) Swayne of Knoxville, IA and Emily (Jeremy) Davis of Buckeye, AZ; 4 grandchildren, Zoie, Maci, Quinn and Jeremy Jr.; a brother, Larry Claybrook of San Antonio, TX; a nephew, Brian and a niece, Jenny, both of Arizona; and her longtime companion, William Kamerick of Albia. Cyndee is also survived by several good friends. Cyndee is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Mary Wendelboe; the father of her children, Art Swayne Jr.; and a brother, Lynn. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Knoxville Church of Christ in Knoxville, IA. A memorial has been established to her grandchildren.
